During the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Thursday, October 31, Southern District Commissioner Monte Fenner announced information regarding the water and sewer project at Marshall Junction.
Fenner said the commissioners opened bids for the construction of a water tower at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 29. He said the commissioners voted to go with the low bid.

Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey Jr. said the county saved some money by going with a specific type of storage tank.

Fenner said if the weather cooperates, the company said it could get started with some of the concrete work this fall. “We have the site selected and purchased; so we’re ready to go when they are.”
