Temperatures were quite a bit cooler on average in October than they were in September at the KMMO studio in Marshall.
According to statistics provided by the National Weather Service, the average high temperature was 63.4 degrees in October, as compared to 84.9 degrees in September. The high temperature of 90 degrees was recorded on October 2. But two days later, the high temperature was only 59 degrees.
The average low temperature was 43 degrees, with the low of 26 degrees recorded on October 31.
Measurable precipitation was registered on eight of the 31 days- totaling 3.52 inches. That included eight-tenths of an inch on October 21 and 65-hundredths of an inch on October 10.
