According to a news release from the Boonville Police Department, at approximately 3:45 a.m. on Friday, November 1, officers investigated a report of a vehicle that had crashed into the ditch at the intersection of Highway 87 and Jackson Road. Once officers arrived, it was determined the occupant(s) of the vehicle had left the scene crash and that the vehicle had been stolen from the 400 block of Chestnut Street in Boonville.
The vehicle had extensive damage and several items of evidence were collected from the crash scene. The identity of the perpetrator(s) is currently unknown.
