A Warrensburg man suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle accident involving wildlife in Johnson County on Saturday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred as a westbound Harley Davidson, driven by 60-year-old Douglas Maring, reportedly struck a deer in the roadway. The bike traveled off the roadway and ejected the driver.
Maring reportedly was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence for treatment.
The accident happened at 6:20 p.m. on Route H before Northwest 321st Road.
