Concordia School District will come together to do their part in helping to fight food insecurity later this month.
According to a news release from the school district, the student body and district staff will work together Friday, November 22, 2019 at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. to pack at least 24,000 meals for Meals of Hope. 100% of the meals will stay in the Concordia community. The meals packed will go home with students in need through the district’s BackSnacks program.
Students in Kindergarten through seniors and all staff in the district will be packing meals on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. to package meals for those in need.
In Missouri 1 out of 5 children don’t know where their next meal will come from and that statistic is even worse in rural areas being 1 in 3.
