Fire fighters from multiple area agencies worked to put out a blaze on Tuesday, November 12.
According to Lexington Fire and Rescue Chief Brad Weber, the fire was at an abandoned structure a few miles southwest of Lexington on Elm Park Road.
Weber said the structure was fully involved when fire fighters arrived after being toned out at 12:28 a.m. It took fire fighters roughly three hours to douse the blaze.
Weber said it was a tough fire to fight due to it being about 10 degrees at the time. However, he said all of the equipment worked perfectly.
Weber said other departments provided mutual aid on the structure he said hasn’t been inhabited for at least 10 years.

Weber said an investigation is under way.

Weber said there were no injuries, and the structure has been deemed a total loss.
