The man who was the subject of a more than two-week long manhunt following two shootings on October 2 in Saline County is due in court this week.
According to authorities, 41-year-old Marshall resident Terrelle Palmer is believed to have shot four people at two different residences that left one person dead and three persons injured and sparked a citywide lockdown. Palmer was apprehended in Mississippi on October 18 and has since been extradited back to Saline County.
According to online court documents, Palmer is facing a Class A Felony for Murder in the First Degree; three counts of Class A Felony for Assault in the First Degree or Attempt- Serious Injury or Special Victim; a Class B Felony for Burglary in the First Degree; Class D Felonies for Endangering the Welfare of a Child- Creating Substantial Risk- in the First Degree and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm; and two counts of an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action. Due to the severity of the charges the court has ordered no bond.
Palmer is due for a counsel-status hearing at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 13, at Saline County Circuit Court.
