Saline County Commissioners were asked to approve the hiring of a new employee for the Auditor’s office during their meeting on Tuesday, November 12.
Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey Jr. announced the request.

Commissioners approved the request. Guthrey says McBryar will start out as part-time, with no more than 30 hours per week.
In other news, commissioners approved a bid from SumnerOne Office Technology for 63-month contract to maintain the copy machines in the courthouse.
Northern District Commissioner Stephanie Gooden says the county’s attempt to get a grant to help fund rural broadband service is still in the works.

The commissioners also voted to take some bids for software for electronic election poll pads under advisement. They will announce the selected bid during a future meeting.
