Saline County Commissioners are continuing to make progress regarding the water/sewer project at Marshall Junction.
During the meeting of the commission on Thursday, November 14, Southern District Commissioner Monte Fenner explained a contract for the construction of a water tower was signed the day before.
Fenner continued…
Fenner explained the county road stops about a quarter of a mile prior to reaching the property, so the county graveled the final quarter of the mile to allow the construction crews to get to the site.
Fenner said the company is going to send some color schemes from which they can choose for the color of the tower.
Saline County voters passed a half-cent sales-tax measure for countywide economic development in April 2018. About a third of the projected proceeds is planned to go toward the project at the junction.
