Three annual agreements were approved by the Marshall City Council during its meeting on Monday, November 18.
City Administrator David Haugland explained the funds come from a specific tax that is collected.
The council approved agreements with the Marshall Municipal Band, Marshall Community Chorus and Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra.
The council held a discussion about the annual contract with the Marshall-Saline Development Corporation.
Haugland said the only change that will happen with the MSDC Board is it will need to replace Scott Hartwig, who will be leaving the board. Haugland says Hartwig represents the investors’ group.
The contract will be discussed again during a future meeting of the council.
