Glasgow Mayor Fred Foley resigned his post on Monday, November 18, according to City Attorney Randall J. Barron.
Barron says: going forward, Mayor pro tempore Chris Damron will take over the duties of acting Mayor, as well as retain his current seat on the Board of Aldermen until the upcoming Municipal Election on Tuesday, April 7.
Barron also said Public Works Director Vic Suttner tendered his two-week notice and will be resigning. Barron said the city will advertise for applications, and aldermen will have the final say on who his replacement will be. Barron says there are two other employees in the Public Works Department at this time.
