The Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra and the Marshall Community Chorus invite the community to attend their annual joint Christmas Concert at Bueker Middle School at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 1.
According to a news release, the concert will be held in the Harold L. Lickey Auditorium. This concert is free and open to the public, and is the only joint effort of Marshall’s musical groups for the year. This is a family-friendly holiday event suitable for all ages.
Musical merriment and holiday favorites will abound, culminating in the grand finale of “The Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s Messiah.
The Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra’s conductor is retired Marshall High School Orchestra director, Kevin Lines. The Marshall Community Chorus will once again be led by former Marshall High School Choral director, Ann Lewis, accompanied by Julie Lewis.
Donations of nonperishable food items also will be collected for the Community Food Pantry in Marshall.
