A Marshall man accused of murdering a Slater resident in 2018 has a court proceeding scheduled again this week.
According to court documents, Adam McAlister is facing a Class A Felony for Second-Degree Murder and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action for allegedly killing 31-year-old Lance Gibson on March 9.
Bond has been set at $500,000 cash only. Motions made by McAlister’s attorney to have his bond reduced have been denied by the court.
McAlister, who is now 32 years old, entered a plea of not guilty in June 2018 and May 2019.
McAlister’s jury trial was scheduled to be held in March, but was canceled at that time.
During his hearing on Monday, November 25, his cause was remanded back to the associate division for probable-cause determination of additional counts in the amended felony information.
His next hearing is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27, at Saline County Circuit Court.
