Monday 3rd November 2025

The temperature might be in the low-to-mid 30s in most of the KMMO listening area this morning, but the strong winds are making it feel much colder- the mid 20s in most cases.
The cold temperatures are not rare for this time of year, but conditions were such on Tuesday that the National Weather Service issued Tornado Watches- a rarity this time of year- in the area.
According to text alerts, the watches were issued for Cooper, Pettis and Benton Counties. The watch was until 9 p.m. in Pettis County and until midnight in Cooper and Benton Counties.
No twisters materialized, but the winds have remained constantly strong throughout the overnight hours, with gusts between 40 and 60 miles per hour in most locations.
Winds are expected to continue to be strong throughout the morning hours before tapering off at about noon today.
