An area law-enforcement agency is urging residents to lock their vehicles.
According to the Carrollton Police Department, it has taken multiple reports of vehicle burglaries resulting in thousands of dollars in property stolen. The department says it appears that the suspects are targeting unlocked vehicles.
The department says officers are stepping up patrols in areas affected, and it is asking that the community assist “by locking their vehicles, leaving outdoor lighting on during overnight hours and calling in if you see suspicious activity or persons.”
