The definition of the word “eyesore” is: “a thing that is very ugly, especially a building that disfigures a landscape.” That certainly would fit the old Fitzgibbon Hospital property.
Marshall Mayor Julie Schwetz asked students in the G.A.T.E. Robotics Program to come up with a possible plan for the use of part of the property in the 800 block of South Brunswick Avenue.
Four eighth-grade students from Bueker Middle School presented a model of a memorial park as the plan for about a third of the property’s acreage.
