Several items were approved during the most-recent meeting of the Concordia Board of Aldermen.
According to minutes from the meeting, aldermen approved an ordinance imposing a court automation fee on municipal ordinance cases to go to the statewide court automation fund to assist in payment for services related to the Show-Me Courts implementation process; amending a section of the Concordia municipal code to establish all fees constituting “court costs”; and amending Table A of Chapter 150 of this code to show the new court cost of $34.50.
Aldermen also approved an ordinance authorizing the establishment of a bank account for the municipal court to be used exclusively for the receipts and disbursements of Show-Me Courts.
Aldermen also gave the OK to a resolution discontinuing the monthly cell-phone reimbursement for the Concordia Police Department and requiring use of city-provided cell phones for all duty-related communications within the department as presented on December 2.
A request to authorize the purchase of tarp equipment for a Mack truck was approved. Schelp Trucking gave a quote of $12.59 per ton or $308.30 for a truck and pup of sand to haul to the city. City Administrator Dale Klussman asked whether the city would need a tarp if the city went with Schelp Trucking. Two aldermen felt the city wouldn’t need a tarp.
Aldermen also approved a request to solicit bids on two desktop computers, four monitors and one printer as required in implementation of Show-Me Courts.
