A Marshall man who was the subject of a more than two-week long manhunt following two shootings on October 2 in Saline County is due in court this week.
Authorities allege Terrelle Palmer shot four people at two different residences. One of the victims died, and three others suffered injuries. The shootings led to a citywide lockdown; and Palmer fled the area. Palmer was apprehended in Mississippi on October 18 and was extradited back to Saline County.
Court documents say 41-year-old Palmer is facing a Class A Felony for Murder in the First Degree; three counts of Class A Felony for Assault in the First Degree or Attempt- Serious Injury or Special Victim; a Class B Felony for Burglary in the First Degree; Class D Felonies for Endangering the Welfare of a Child- Creating Substantial Risk- in the First Degree and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm; and two counts of an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action. Due to the severity of the charges, the court has ordered no bond.
A hearing to set the time and date for Palmer’s preliminary hearing is scheduled to be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11, at Saline County Circuit Court.
