Some items involving Edwin A. Pape Lake were discussed at the meeting of the Concordia Board of Aldermen this week.
According to minutes from the meeting, aldermen approved an ordinance amending a portion of table a section 150.01, entitled “fishing permits” of the Concordia Municipal Code, effective January 1, 2020.
Aldermen also approved an ordinance establishing Table D of Section 150.010 of the Municipal Code, entitled “Rental Fees for Shelters and Structures.” Aldermen also approved an ordinance establishing rental fees for Wedding Arbor and the Lions’ Shelter at $175.
In addition, aldermen gave their approval to an ordinance establishing rental fees for the reservation of shelter houses within the parks system and at Edwin A. Pape Lake; and assigning these rates to be posted in section 150.010 Table D of the Municipal Code for reference.
Aldermen also discussed the installation of a service line to sheds at Concordia City Lake. City Administrator Dale Klussman explained the pricing he gave the board at a previous meeting was wrong, and it will be $1,500 for overground and an additional $1,200 if the city chooses to go underground.
In other news, aldermen approved a motion to continue with the next phase of Northwest 8th Street of approximately $20,000 as time allows for Rinne Construction.
