Elementary school kids have given a financial boost to a fund to help those affected by fires in an area city.
According to a news release, Skyline Elementary School mixed-age teacher Tonya Edgar and her second- and third-grade students presented a check for $400 to Sedalia Mayor John Kehde for the “Fire Relief Fund” on Friday, December 20.
The students raised the money over two days by selling Candy Cane Grams- candy canes with small notes attached- for $1 each.
Parents of Edgar’s students donated the materials.
