An early morning crash resulted in serious injuries for an area teen on New Year’s Day.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 17-year-old Lane Hawkins, of Norborne was seriously injured when his 2011 Ford Explorer, traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a bridge and traveled down an embankment.
Hawkins was reportedly not wearing a seat-belt. He was transported by Air Ambulance to Liberty Hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred at 1:35 a.m. on Highway E, east of County Road 191 in Carroll County.
