Grant Piper, Underground Facilities Supervisor, asked the Marshall Municipal Utilities’ Board of Public Works to approve an action involving Risk and Resilience Assessment during the board meeting on Thursday, January 2.
General Manager Jeff Bergstrom explains that is a requirement from the EPA. So, MMU sent out for Requests for Qualifications. MMU received two responses back. He said the recommendation of McClure Engineering for a price not to exceed $28,000 was approved.
Bergstrom says it has to be finished by June 2021. “So, we’re ahead of the game.”
In other news, the board was asked permission to request bids for the replacement of a CO2 storage tank.
Bergstrom said that was approved.
And, the board was asked by Bergstrom to approve an environmental consultant.
That was approved by the board, as well.
