Saline County Treasurer Marty Smith asked county commissioners for an update on the status of the plat books during the commission meeting on Thursday, January 2.
Smith said he’s getting two to three people a day asking about when the new books will be available.
Northern District Commissioner Stephanie Gooden said she and Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey Jr. have made inquiries.

Smith says people have been asking if the book has gone to press yet.
Gooden replied:

Guthrey said: “There’s no use putting out a book without the updated 9-1-1 addresses; that’s what we’re waiting on.”
Commissioners noted it might be March or April before the new plat books will be available.
