Benson Lee Winkler Sr., age 78, of rural Marshall, died Friday, January 3, 2020.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, where visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Slater City Cemetery.

Survivors include three children, Benson Lee Winkler, Jr. (Coleta), of Marshall, Debra Riley (Michael), of Fleming Island, FL, and Sandra Cunningham (Luke), of Orange Park, FL; three grandchildren, Justin Tyler Riley, Kristi Marie Riley Putney and Joshua Andrew Winkler; five great-grandchildren, Aurora Dawn Winkler, Lettyia Rain Winkler, Avery Alexander Diaz, Warren Benson Riley and Roxanne Pearl Putney; one brother, David Brown, of Sedalia; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Benjamin Franklin Winkler and Pearl Grace Wondel Winkler Brown; Benson was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Louise Murphy; one granddaughter, Lindsey Marie Winkler; one great-grandson, Joshua Andrew Winkler, Jr.; and two sisters, Pearline Copas, of Marshall, and Geraldine Kohlman, of Mobridge, South Dakota.
