The Higginsville Board of Aldermen was asked to approve an addendum to a cooperation agreement between the city and the Higginsville Housing Authority during its meeting on Monday, January 6.
City Administrator Jeanette Dobson explains.

Dobson says the 10 percent still will be paid this month for last year. However, the new agreement will kick in this year and affect the payment the agency will make to the city next January.
In other news, aldermen were asked to approve the appointment of a new Assistant Chief of Police.

Dobson said Logan has been a member of the Higginsville Police Department since 2006.
In addition, the appointments of Jeff Gash, Robert Nolte and Larry Meinershagen to the Building Code Board of Appeals were approved.
The next Board of Aldermen meeting is being pushed back one day to Tuesday, January 21, due to Monday, January 20, being the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
