A warrant has been issued and bond set at $75,000 cash or surety for a 38-year-old Sedalia man who has been charged with multiple felonies after a traffic stop on Sunday, January 5.
A probable-cause statement says Anthony Robert Hill’s license was suspended. Hill was then searched, which allegedly revealed a loaded firearm on his left hip. He also allegedly was found to be in possession of a small bag of methamphetamine and a debit card that had been reported stolen. Hill reportedly is a convicted felon and not lawfully allowed to carry a firearm. Hill was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.
Court documents say Hill has been charged with Class D Felonies for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Stealing; and Class E Felonies for Unlawful Use of a Weapon- Possession of a Firearm and a Controlled Substance; and Driving While Revoked or Suspended.
Hill’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
