An area school district has received a sizable donation.
According to a news release, the Goppert Foundation awarded the Norborne R-8 District a grant to improve district technology.
On December 19, Goppert representatives Mike Craven and Billy Campbell presented a check for $32,300 to district technology committee chairs Hannah Woodward and Daniel Long. The funds will support the improvement of the sound system in the gymnasium and music room.
The Goppert Foundation has supported technology efforts in the past by purchasing student iPads and Chromebooks.
Superintendent Troy Lentz says: “We are thankful for the relationship we have with the Goppert Foundation. Because of their support, our students and teachers have access to high-quality technology.”
