Virgil Edward Schuster, age 87, of Scottsdale, Arizona, and formerly of Pilot Grove, died Friday, January 10, 2020.

A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 17, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pilot Grove, where visitation begins at 9 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Martins Cemetery near Pilot Grove.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Hospice of the Valley.

Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Pilot Grove is in charge of the arrangements.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Gertrude Aggeler Schuster, of Pilot Grove; his wife of 45 years, Mary Williamson Schuster, of Columbia; and a brother, Wilbur Schuster (Shirley), of Pilot Grove.

He is survived by a sister, Marjorie Schuster Spaedy (Darrell), of Bunceton; four brothers, Norbert Schuster (Louise), of Pilot Grove, Marvin Schuster (Ruth), of Cataula, Georgia, James Schuster (Rosemary), of Pilot Grove, and Darrell Schuster (Julie), of Nashville; four sons, Brian Schuster, David Schuster (Robin), Edward Schuster and Rob Schuster (Michelle); six daughters, Eileen Schuster Merrill (Rich), Deborah Schuster Scotten (Jeff), Rita Schuster Neri, Brenda Schuster Freeland (Brian), Denise Schuster Valadez (Stephen) and Molly Schuster Mahai (Borz); 28 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren.
