Felony charges have been filed against a 33-year-old Sedalia man in four different cases in Pettis County.
According to a probable-cause statement, authorities allege Joshua J. Miley has been responsible for several burglaries, including a house, storage units and an RV. He’s alleged to have stolen $1,270 worth of items from the RV; stolen $2,730 in items from two storage units; stolen $500 worth of items from a residence; and $2,500 in items from two more storage units. While he was being arrested, Miley also is alleged to have threatened a witness.
Court documents say Miley has been charged with four counts of a Class D Felony for Burglary in the Second Degree; three counts of a Class D Felony for Stealing of $750 or More; a Class E Felony for Tampering with a Witness in a Felony Prosecution; and two misdemeanors for property damage. Bond has been set at $75,000 cash or surety.
Miley was arraigned on Thursday, January 16. His next hearing is set for 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
