A Sweet Springs resident has been charged with felonies for allegedly stealing a tractor and other items from a residence on August 6, 2019.
Authorities say a resident contacted the Saline County Sheriff’s Office and reported his 2009 Kubota, along with other items, had been stolen from his detached garage. The tractor was later recovered in Houstonia by Pettis County authorities.
By interviewing a man at the sheriff’s department on August 15, authorities identified a potential suspect.
Court documents say a warrant has been issued and Christopher Joseph Miller has been charged with Class D Felonies for Burglary in the Second Degree and Stealing of $750 or More. Bond has been set at $7,500 cash or surety.
Miller’s initial appearance is pending at Saline County Circuit Court.
