Authorities are investigating after receiving information on a reported theft from a business.
According to a release from the Marshall Police Department, on January 23, a man reported somebody stole more than $500 worth of items from Hahn & Phillips Grease Co., Inc. The man said he was advised by an employee that extension cords and fuel cans had been stolen. In all, seven fuel containers and eight extension cords were missing- valued at a total of $550.
A police officer viewed surveillance video and noticed a person in the area near the time the theft reportedly occurred in the early-morning hours. However, the officer could not identify the subject, who reportedly was wearing all black clothing.
