A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for a good portion of the KMMO listening area for part of Monday, January 27.
According to a release from the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department, the advisory is scheduled to last until 10 a.m.
During this advisory, visibility is likely to be one-quarter of a mile or less and likely will create hazardous driving conditions. If you are driving, you are advised by authorities to slow down, use your headlights and leave plenty of distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you.
Also, the fog could freeze on solid surfaces, creating slick roadways and walking surfaces, such as sidewalks and parking lots.
The affected areas include Saline, Pettis and Cooper Counties in the immediate KMMO listening area.
