Robert Lee Stroup, age 86, of Nelson, died Saturday, January 25, 2020.

Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 30, at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Otterville, where visitation begins at 10:30. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Providence Cemetery in Smithton.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Providence Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Medora “Dora” Stroup, of the home; sons, Robert Dale Stroup and Erayna, of Boonville, and Jeffrey Lee Stroup and wife, Cheryl, of Russellville; sisters, Betty Sheley and Debbie Cook, both of Lincoln; and brother, Larry Stroup, of Springfield; three grandchildren, Amanda “Mandy” Stroup and Blake Stroup, of Russellville, and Adam Stroup and wife, Alycia “Aly,” of Jefferson City; four great-grandchildren also survive

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ora and Ola (Smith) Stroup; one sister, Linda Gloth; and a brother, Gary Wayne Stroup Sr.
