The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for Pettis County.
According to a release from the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department, the advisory is scheduled to last until 9 a.m. Tuesday, January 28.
During the weather event, visibility is likely to be less than one mile, leading to potential hazardous driving conditions. Drivers are being urged to slow down, turn on their headlights and drive cautiously.
In addition, areas where the temperature is below freezing may experience slick roadways and walking surfaces- such as sidewalks and parking lots- due to freezing fog.
