During the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Tuesday, January 28, Clerk Debbie Russell reported the deadline for entities to get issues to her office to place on the Municipal Election ballot was at 5 p.m. that day. The Municipal Election is on Tuesday, April 7.
Russell also reported some absentee voting has begun.

According to the Secretary of State’s website, voting in the Presidential Preference Primary in Missouri will be on Tuesday, March 10.
In other news from the meeting, Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey Jr. asked for approval of a couple of reappointments to a board.

Southern District Commissioner Monte Fenner pointed out there are four members on that board.
Commissioners approved the reappointments.
