A New Franklin man is facing felony charges for allegedly physically abusing two juvenile females.
According to a probable-cause statement, on January 25, a hotline call came into the Division of Family Services, and the caller claimed Terril R. Jones assaulted the girls. Once on the scene, a Howard County Deputy said he observed the left lower lip of one of the girls was swollen and had a cut on it.
Jones denied assaulting either of the girls.
According to court documents, Jones has been charged with two counts of a Class D Felony for Abuse or Neglect of a Child- No Sexual Contact.
Jones was arraigned on Tuesday, January 28. His bond was reduced to $4,950, with 10-percent surety authorized. His cause has been continued for a preliminary-hearing setting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, February 11, at Howard County Circuit Court.
