Thelma L. Balke, 97, of Marshall, and formerly of Blackburn, died Wednesday, January 29, 2020.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, February 3, at Pisgah Cemetery in Elmwood. Memorials may be made to Pisgah Cemetery or Legendary Nursing and Rehab Activity Fund in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Survivors include two sons, Dean Balke (Karen) of Lathrop and Jerry Balke (Judy) of Malta Bend; four grandchildren, Randy Balke (Becky), Rodney Balke (Julie), Naleen Fletcher (Sonny) and Kirby Balke (Shauna); eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; four step-grandchildren, Allen Dager, Laura Columbia, Veronica Johnson (Brent) and Josiah Carrillo (Dayana); eight step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, William Henry Kiser and Ella Mae Walker Kiser, and husband, Emery E. Balke , Thelma was preceded in death by two brothers, Ed and Clayton Kiser; and four sisters, Annie Smith, Faye LaValley, Irene Smith and Ella Mae Dority.
