If you are a farmer who wants to make more-effective use of your computer on your farm, there is a conference scheduled next month that could be right for you.
According to a release from the University of Missouri Extension, the 2020 Computers on the Farm Conference is scheduled for February 14 and 15 at Margaritaville Lake resort in Osage Beach.
Computers on the Farm is an annual event for all people interested in computer applications on the farm. Topics are planned for both beginning and advanced users. Demonstrations and discussions of computer technologies for farm applications are scheduled to be emphasized. Much of the conference consists of current farm users sharing experiences about computer applications they are using in their operations.
Several hands-on sessions for beginners and experienced farm computer users are scheduled to be available. Both hardware and software will be provided, but you can bring your own equipment (laptops, tablets, smartphones, etc.) for specific hands-on help.
This year’s topics include:
· Precision Ag technologies;
· Spreadsheets for budgeting;
· Drone technologies;
· Microcomputers;
· Home-assistant devices – ideas for the farm;
· PaddockTrac – app for grazing management; and
· All things Missouri – an online mapping update.
