Over this past weekend, more than 30 schools and 60 students competed at the Park Hill Speech and Debate Tournament, including students from Marshall High School.
According to a news release, Drew Arends finished fifth in original oratory; Marissa Vestal was eighth in humorous interpretation; and Adison Stocksdale wound up 10th in original oratory.
The next tournaments for the Marshall squad will be the state and national-qualifying events in March.
