The Marshall City Council took care of some business during its meeting on Monday, February 3.
The council approved the second reading of an ordinance amending the 2013 Comprehensive Floodplain Management Program.
City Inspector/Code Official Mike Morgan explained the changes in the wording of the ordinance at the council meeting on January 6.

The council also was asked to approve an action taken by the Marshall Municipal Utilities’ Board of Public Works during its meeting on Thursday, January 30. MMU General Manager Jeff Bergstrom explained some roofs need to be replaced.

Bergstrom said Watkins Roofing has done good work for the city before, and the MMU Board approved a $141,000 bid, which is $9,000 less than what has been budgeted for the project.
The council approved the first and second readings to execute the contract.
