A 28-year-old Lexington woman has been charged with felonies for allegedly stealing a vehicle and some items from inside the vehicle.
According to a probable-cause statement, on February 1, authorities say they located a vehicle in front of a residence that was reported stolen out of Kansas City, and it was towed. The owner of the vehicle reclaimed it on February 4 and told authorities there were several items- including a Patrick Mahomes Super Bowl jersey and three costume Super Bowl rings- missing.
On February 5, the victim told authorities that he had responded to Jenna Jackson’s message to buy the replica Super Bowl rings she had posted on Facebook. She said he would have to come to her house to make the purchase. On that day, multiple law-enforcement officers responded to Jackson’s residence to search for the stolen items. They reportedly found the three rings and other items of evidentiary value.
According to court documents, Jackson has been charged with Class D Felonies for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree and Stealing All Other Property; and a stealing misdemeanor. Bond has been set at $25,000 cash or surety.
Jackson pleaded not guilty during her arraignment hearing on February 6. Her next hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 19, at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
