On Valentine’s Day, several dozen area residents were on hand during the Grand Opening and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony celebrating a love for their furry friends.
Leslie Huston and Disa Farris with Friends of Marshall Dog Park were ecstatic about the event- which they say included about a dozen canines- to open the facility to the public.
Despite suffering some setbacks during the construction, the project was finished on time by Advanced Fence & Rail, of Sedalia.
Huston says there are some additions planned for the park in the future.
The dog park is located adjacent to the north side of the Marshall Habilitation Center Lake at the intersection of Highway 240 and North Lincoln Avenue.
