Filing for the primary election in August has begun, and Saline County Clerk Debbie Russell said several persons had signed up to run for various positions as of the time for the commission meeting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25.
Russell said filing began at 8 a.m.

In other news, Russell also pointed out absentee voting is going on for the Presidential Preference Primary and the Municipal Elections. They are being held on Tuesday, March 10, and Tuesday, April 7, respectively.
