Dorothy Gerlt, 89, of Marshall, died Wednesday, February 26, 2020.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Burial will follow at Hazel Grove Cemetery in Herndon. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Survivors include one son, Darrell Gerlt; one daughter, Lana Shively (Billy) of Marshall; six grandchildren, Rita Shaw (Adam), Michael Shively, Brenda Koob (James), Kristen Hayes (Chay), Amanda Smith, and Darrell Joseph Gerlt; eight great-grandchildren, Charli Gerlt, Mattalie and Telynn Shaw, James Tyler and Brielle Koob, Lane, Briar, and Bennett Smith; five sisters: Wanda Flurry of Neelyville, Grace McGuire and Shirley Gerlt, both of Marshall, Emily Harvey of Slater and Carolyn Pratt of Breckenridge; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Arvis Welch and Connie Reeves Welch, and husband, Charley Junior “C.J.” Gerlt , she was preceded in death by two sisters, Violet Fitchem and Lora Mae Beeler; one brother, Marvin Welch; and a grandson-in-law, Joshua Smith.
