Missouri patients asking to use medical marijuana could be required to meet in-person with a doctor, not through the internet or telephone.
According to Missourinet, Joplin Republican Lane Roberts attached the condition to his bill getting initial approval Thursday in the Missouri House. He’s also proposing to give the state Health Department the authority to review background checks of workers in the medical marijuana industry. Current law only lets law enforcement see that information.
One more favorable vote would send the measure to the Senate.
