Two area residents suffered serious injuries in a rollover traffic crash in Saline County on Saturday.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as 38-year-old Joel Clements, of Slater, overcorrected his eastbound vehicle, which had traveled off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle struck a ditch, overturned and came to rest on its wheels. Both of the vehicle’s occupants- who were not wearing seat belts- were ejected out of the vehicle.

Clements and 37-year-old Joseph Page, of Miami, were flown by Life Flight Eagle 1 helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.

The crash happened at 8:20 a.m. on Route C at Brunswick Road.
