A vision by former Marshall Parks and Recreation Director Jeff Stubblefield turned into a reality.
On June 8, 2019, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for the all-inclusive playground in Marshall. It came to fruition due to the efforts of Stubblefield and the Saline County Board of Services for the Developmentally Disabled (SB 40 Board).
At the park board meeting on Wednesday, March 4, current Parks and Recreation Director Chad Unterreiner played a video about the all-inclusive playground and all of the work that went into it- and the board earned an award at the recent Missouri Parks and Recreation Association (MPRA) Conference.
Brian Schaefer, President of the MPRA Board, talked about the award.
Saline County Board of Services for the Developmentally Disabled Executive Director Ann Graff said she had a lot of help getting everything to work out.
