During the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Thursday, March 5, Clerk Debbie Russell announced absentee voting is under way for two different elections.
Russell said her office will be open for a few hours to accommodate anybody who wishes to vote absentee on Saturday, March 7.
In other news, Russell said one of the voting machines didn’t check out to meet specifications, so it will need to be replaced.
Russell also reported poll workers will be going through a training session at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 9, at the Martin Community Center in Marshall.
Voters go to the polls to cast their votes in the Presidential Preference Primary on Tuesday, March 10. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
