Marshall Public School Superintendent, Dr. Carol Maher released a statement on Friday, March 6 that a bed bug was discovered on an item belonging to an individual in the Marshall High School at 12:40 p.m. That individual was sent home and was given instructions on how to investigate and treat for the possibility of bedbugs.
Maher went on to say that cleaning and treatment will take place in the Marshall High School before school is in session on Monday.
The district is asking all parents and families to take some time this weekend and look for signs of bedbugs on their students’ or employees’ belongings or clothes.
The district asks if any signs of bedbugs occur, that you please contact MPS as soon as possible.
