A 39-year-old Sedalia man is facing a felony charge for allegedly stealing more than $750 of another person’s property on March 2.
According to a probable-cause statement, a man reported to authorities that he left his truck for a short time, and when he returned to the truck a bag containing $1,203 worth of tools was missing.
Through viewing surveillance video, the victim identified a vehicle which had pulled up, and a thin, white male got out of the vehicle and walked across the railroad tracks toward his vehicle. The suspect took the bag out of the victim’s truck and walked back to the car. He got in the passenger’s side, and the vehicle left.
Identifying the vehicle led to the development of a suspect. The red tool bag was found in a garage and returned to its owner with the tools still inside.
A warrant has been issued and Ronald W. Duncan Jr. has been charged with a Class D Felony for Stealing of $750 or More. Bond has been fixed at $25,000 cash or surety.
Duncan’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
